Urgent Action

Take Action Against Mines in Asia

In September in Bangkok, Thailand, governments and individuals from around the world will be coming together for the 5th Meeting of States Parties to the Mine Ban Treaty. In honor of this momentous event, the Nobel Peace Prize winning International Campaign to Ban Landmines is urging people to take action to let the Asian governments that haven't banned landmines know that the world is watching, that now is a great time for them to make progress on this issue. Please visit www.icbl.org/news/2003/355.php to learn specific ways to make your voice heard to China, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam.
