Spotlight on Reading, Massachusetts

Daniel Suchy (left), a student at Reading Memorial High School in Reading, Massachusetts had a great idea for back-to-school night: he set up a landmines education and action table. On their way to and from meetings with teachers, Reading parents stopped by the landmines table, learned information about the issue, signed petitions to President Clinton, and took away action alert flyers. Daniel participated in the launch of Students Against Landmines USA in July in Washington D.C. His experience included a conference and a grassroots training for students from around the country.
